Hope this one isn’t shit
"No one's truly gone"
From out of nowhere, a cloaked figure jumps down.
IT WAS HARD TO SPOT. BUT IM PRETTY SURE YOU COULD HEAR PALPATINE LAUGHING IN THAT TRAILER. ITS PRETTY CRAZY.
I have trust in J.J Abrams, I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets his story back on track. He's got Poe and Finn together again, why Rian split them in TLJ is beyond me. The two have incredible chemistry. Also, no sign of Rose, perhaps she'll take a more Jar Jar Binks style roll being upfront in the debut movie but didn't do much in the following movie(s).
Hopefully this movie is better than Last Jedi, which tbh isn't a tough task. Even Phantom Menace is better than Last Jedi.
It's gonna suck let's be honest. It's like how DC movie trailers always bring hope to their audiences, maybe this one will be good, but it never is.
I'm only looking forward to season 7 of the clone wars, I have no hope in the movies anymore.
I hear pessimism is pretty dull, I'll have to try it some time.
This trailer serves the purpose of making us excited for the movie and it does a good job. then again the last jedi trailer looked pretty good and well thats been very decisive. Personally although its flawed I've enjoyed this trilogy so far. its back in JJs hands so hopefully it'll end on a high note.
This trailer also has some pretty dope scenes, from Rey backflipping over that TIE, Kylo Ren just decking some cunt. Lando having a giggle because he got his ship back from that fucking card cheater Han Solo (RIP). and of course the end showing the death star and a familiar Laugh from a certain prune face.
One could argue they are just trying to bring back old faces so people go watch. but as long as its good who cares?
it's a shame they dicked around for 2 movies with the new characters, and no-one really cares about them anymore. Lets be honest, who has ever said "wow i wonder what POE DAMERON does next!", it's a bit all over the place and I think bringing back older characters is a way of subverting attention from 2 movies of horrible character development.
Still, i'm at least keen to see how they tie all 3 eras together in one movie, without laying their grubby hands on what is already perfect.
Yeah, it still baffles me how they let Rian Johnson completely change character arcs midway through a trilogy. Agree with you 100%
